Usually when the topic of the canon comes up people think of the Apocrypha and ask should it be included in the canon or not. Protestants say no and Catholics say yes. The issue is a difficult one but it is actually a little more complicated than the question of just seven books. There is a handy little chart at Bible Study Magazine which compares the canons of seven different traditions: Samaritan, Hebrew Bible, Greek Orthodox, Syriac, Ethiopian and Protestant. It is also interactive which allows you to see notes regarding certain books by hovering over the various numbers, letters or symbols found embedded in the chart. It really is quite fascinating.
