Coming Soon – “God, Adam, and You”

The Old Testament is a hot topic right now. Two of the most controversial topics are the existence of Adam and the ethics of the Old Testament. This month P&R Publishing will release God, Adam, and You: Biblical Creation Defended and Applied edited by Richard D. Phillips. Here’s a list of contributors and their topics:

Derek W.H. Thomas – The Bible’s First Word; Differing Views on the Days of Creation

Joel R. Beeke – The Case for Adam; Christ, the Second Adam

Kevin DeYoung – Two Views of the Human Person

Liam Goligher – Adam, Lord of the Garden

Richard D. Phillips – The Bible and Evolution; God’s Design for Gender, Marriage, and Sex; From God’s Garden to God’s City

Carl R. Trueman – Original Sin and Modern Theology

Richard D. Phillips (MDiv, Westminster Theological Seminary) is the senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church of Greenville, South Carolina. He is a council member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, chairman of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology, and coeditor of the Reformed Expository Commentary series.

I look forward to reading this. It should be out later this month. It will be a paperback with 224 pages and sell for $14.99.

  1. I hope you’ll let us know what you find helpful, Louis. This is a topic about which I wish I had the time to do more reading, and your little nuggets are often helpful to me.
